Lynda Buscis

Lynda Buscis is a lifelong visual artist who has worked passionately, prolifically, and exclusively in functional ceramics for the past 12 years. Her initial exploration began on the wheel, but she has expanded to include handbuilding techniques over the past seven years. Her primarily porcelain work comprises altered, asymmetrical, functional wares that echo the elegance of forms and lines in the natural world. She has spent the last three years working in Northern Clay Center’s shared studio space as a studio artist, refining her approach to handbuilding and combined wheel and handbuilt work. After a 40-year career in design and product development in the fashion industry, Buscis is looking forward to directing her full creative energies to the MN NICE program, and receiving critical feedback as she works towards a new level of refinement in her ceramic work.
