Northern Clay Center’s COVID-19 Vaccination Mandate
NCC mandates COVID-19 vaccination for all students, studio artists, teaching artists, and staff entering our building. For the wellbeing of our community, it is necessary to do everything we can to preserve the health of all individuals who utilize our facility, and setting a mandated standard is an important step in keeping NCC a safe space to engage with clay and community.
Before the start of your activity at NCC, you are required to provide proof of receipt of full COVID-19 vaccination (two doses in a two-dose series or one dose in a one-dose series) as well as proof of receipt of a COVID-19 booster dose for those ages 18 and older when either a) 5-months have passed following the completion of your initial Pfizer or Moderna series, or b) 2-months have passed following your initial J&J vaccine.
Proof of Vaccination or Exemption
Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination and booster dose, or exemption may be submitted online. NCC also provides the option to submit information in person at or prior to the start of your activity if your activity takes place during business hours, Mon – Fri, 9am – 5:30 pm, or Sat & Sun 10 am – 5 pm.
Should you elect not to provide proof of vaccination or exemption, but instead prefer to withdraw from your class, full refunds for classes or workshops will be issued with no cancellation fee so long as your request is submitted 7 days prior to the start of your activity with NCC.
If you are unable to receive the vaccine, NCC accepts a signed exemption, or signed doctor’s note, and requires proof of a weekly negative COVID-19 test to continue entering NCC’s facility.
Masks will continue to be required at all times for everyone entering NCC’s facility regardless of vaccination status.
Youth (16 and 17 years of age) must still provide proof of vaccination, but NCC does not currently require a booster for this age group.
Youth (anyone under 16 years of age) are NOT required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination, present a notarized exemption or negative COVID-19 test result within the week preceding their class at this time. As vaccinations and boosters receive full FDA approval for youth, youth will also be required to provide proof of vaccination or a notarized exemption with proof of weekly negative COVID-19 test leading up to their NCC activity on-site. As FDA approval and recommendations may change, we will remain nimble and update our NCC community as needed.
Summer Clay Camps at NCC – For the duration of the Center’s summer Clay Camp season, NCC will require proof of full COVID-19 vaccination, or a notarized exemption and negative COVID-19 test result, for ALL youth participants. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination must be submitted online BEFORE the start of your child’s camp.
Sales Gallery Visits
Entry to the Sales Gallery does not require proof of vaccination for visits lasting less than one hour, at this time. This is subject to change.

At present, pharmaceutical companies Pfizer-BioNTech, ModernaTX Inc., and Johnson & Johnson Janssen all have COVID-19 vaccinations available to the public based on FDA approval or emergency approval. This timeline will be updated as needed.
