My work is a reflection of my nature, informed by my tactile, visual, and social environment. The ceramic forms I create are developed from my affinity to nature’s biomorphic lines, shapes, textures, patterns and forms including subtle references to my culture, the landscape and the female figure. Whether wheel-thrown and altered, coil built, pinched, or slab constructed, my work is a visual, tactile, and thought-provoking experience.
In 2020, Evangelista completed the MN NICE program at Northern Clay Center under the mentorship of Ursula Hargens.
