Thursday Discovery Series | Financial Management for Artists and Creatives
June 25 , 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm CDT
Making art is the dream. Making it work is the skill. In this free talk, Nneka Constantino breaks down the financial side of a creative life offering practical, accessible advice on money management to help you build sustainable income without losing your artistic soul. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to sharpen your business instincts, you’ll leave with practical tools and a clearer picture of what it means to thrive as an artist.
Nneka Constantino is a Vice President and Senior Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, bringing over two decades of experience advising clients on wealth creation and economic empowerment. But her relationship with the arts runs just as deep. A singer with the Sounds of Blackness, Nneka’s musical roots go back generations — she is the daughter of Cynthia Johnson, a former member of the group and the voice behind Lipps Inc.’s iconic “Funkytown.” She channels both worlds through her work as executive producer and host of Financial Fitness on 89.9 KMOJ, and contributed to the Emmy Award-winning Make Money Work documentary. Nneka knows firsthand that creativity and financial savvy aren’t opposites — they’re partners.
The Galleries are now open until 7 pm on Thursdays! To celebrate our extended hours, join us for an inspiring new series featuring artist talks, demonstrations, conversations, and more—all centered on the world of ceramics. Free and open to everyone.
