This exhibition launched the giving spirit of the season, nurtured creativity, and celebrated the opening of the Winter Exhibition and MN NICE Graduates with the Winter Open House. Hands-on clay activities and artist demonstrations both inspired and captured attention.
Winter is the season you share your curiosity and clay appreciation with those you love! We had over 1000 extra pots, sculptures, and even jewelry. We hosted local artists, as well as those who hail from all over the US, and who represent a diverse range of cultures, races, identities, and lived experiences. Guests enjoyed the space and chose the work that connected with them. Every purchase helped us continue programming and financially supported the individual artists in the exhibition!

We launched the winter holiday season with socially-distanced shopping in our galleries.

Member Preview Hour, November 13, 11 am – 12 pm
Our Members enjoyed their perks! NCC Members received special early access to the galleries an hour before the public open house begins and used their member discount during checkout. They were also encouraged to share their discount with a friend at checkout!
Winter Mugs
This year’s winter mugs were created by two highly-respected and well-loved artists from our local art community: Carla Arnevik and Wendy Eggerman.
Each mug was just $29, gift wrapped, and included the artist’s favorite mug-worthy recipe!
Mystery Gifts
If you simply couldn’t choose, or perhaps wanted to give a little surprise gift to yourself? Each gift-wrapped box contained a mug or cup from one of our gallery artists. This may have included work from the year-round gallery artists, winter guest artists, or American Pottery Festival artists.

Guest joined us in the studio to create decorative clay tiles during the FREE HANDS-ON WORKSHOP at the Open House. All projects were fired and ready to give as gifts by December 12.
