Marketing and Education Associate
Maia has been creating and admiring pottery since she was 6 years old, and has remained on the pottery path ever since. While growing up in Northern California, she was able to work and teach in multiple ceramics studios. She also started a ceramics business, Octopus Ceramics (@octopusceramics on Instagram), where she sells her work. Maia went to Carleton College in Northfield, MN, where she double majored in studio art and biology. She was a ceramics studio assistant during her time there, and spent every free moment in the studio making and creating. After a brief ceramics break while exploring the zoology field with the San Diego Zoo post-graduation, Maia is back in the Minnesota ceramics world and ready to continue making and working with clay again! When she’s not in the ceramics studio in her free time, you can find Maia sewing, cooking, and spending time with friends.
