Heather Schroeder (she/her) is a practicing artist based in Minnesota. Originally from Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Heather received her BA in art and design art from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in 2018. In 2022, she received her MFA from Montana State University, where she focused on trauma, the body, and her own personal story. Her work carries a strong narrative which invites the viewer to examine subjects related to addiction, family matters, and personal growth. She predominantly works in ceramics, textiles, watercolor, and illustration. Heather is passionate in sharing the impact that art can have in healing and processing trauma, and looks forward to learning more about the people and communities within Minnesota. In her free time, Heather enjoys watering her houseplants, and losing at Scrabble.
