Winter is the perfect season to share the joy of handmade ceramics with the people you love. This year our Winter Exhibition brings together more than 1,000 new pots, sculptures, and jewelry from artists near and far, making it easy to find something special for everyone on your list, and maybe a little something for yourself, too.
Shop one-of-a-kind work by local makers alongside artists from across the country, representing a wide range of voices, perspectives, and approaches to clay. From thoughtful gifts to pieces you’ll want to bring home for yourself, there’s plenty to discover. And with every purchase, you’re supporting the artists who made the work and helping sustain Northern Clay Center’s nonprofit programs. Come browse, get inspired, and make your holiday shopping a little more meaningful.
We’re here to make your holiday shopping a breeze. Let us help you pick the perfect present, gift wrap it and even ship it for you. Need extra convenience? We’re happy to bring your order right out to your car!

Winter Mugs 2026
This year’s special-edition winter mugs were created by Alex Chinn, Alysha Hill and Micah Schedler. Mugs are priced at $29 each.
Chinn is a Northern Clay Center studio artist and educator whose studio practice brings beauty to home and garden, from bakeware to custom house numbers.
Hill is a Minnesota ceramic artist and Northern Clay Center’s community engagement coordinator whose whimsical, functional work uses locally sourced clay to bring beauty, memory, and joy to everyday objects and rituals.
Schedler creates joyful, functional pottery in white stoneware with a light celadon green glaze, designed to bring presence and pleasure to everyday rituals.
Each mug includes the artist’s biography and their favorite mug-worthy recipe! It’s the perfect gift for corporate clients, friends, teachers, family, or your very own mug collection.
