Ruby Sevilla is a ceramicist, printmaker, and fiber artist based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She received her BFA in studio art as well as gender and women’s studies at Northland College in Ashland, WI. She has since taught pottery and printmaking for children and adults. Her ultimate goal when creating, is for her art to be fun. Whether it has a funky shape, unique texture, or bright colors, her hope is to bring a lightheartedness to the objects we use everyday. If there is one thing she has learned from teaching it’s that if you are having fun, your students will as well! Outside of the studio you can find her on her bike trying to learn to ride with no hands (and sometimes succeeding).
